Acceptance of Terms {#acceptance}
By accessing or using Tabba ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tabba ApS.
Who May Use the Service
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Tabba. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
- You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
- All information you provide is accurate and up to date
Entity Accounts
If you are using Tabba on behalf of a company or organization:
- You represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms
- "You" and "your" refer to both you individually and the entity you represent
Service Description {#service-description}
Tabba provides a cloud-based financial management platform that helps individuals and businesses track expenses, manage budgets, analyze financial data, and generate insights using AI-powered tools.
Service Features
Core Features:
- Expense tracking and categorization
- Budget creation and monitoring
- Financial forecasting and scenario planning
- Bank account integration (read-only access via OAuth)
- Multi-currency support
- Automated transaction imports
- Financial reports and dashboards
AI-Powered Features:
- AI-assisted financial insights and recommendations
- Natural language financial queries
- Predictive analytics and forecasting
- Intelligent expense categorization
Collaboration Features:
- Multi-user access for business accounts
- Role-based permissions
- Team budgets and shared financial data
Service Availability
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime, but the Service is provided "as available" without guaranteed uptime. We may:
- Perform scheduled maintenance (with advance notice)
- Experience unplanned downtime
- Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
User Responsibilities {#user-responsibilities}
Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Password Security: Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- Account Activity: All activities that occur under your account
- Unauthorized Access: Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access
- Two-Factor Authentication: Enabling and maintaining 2FA (strongly recommended)
Accurate Information
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Update your information promptly when it changes
- Not create accounts using false or misleading information
- Not create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes
Lawful Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with:
- All applicable local, national, and international laws
- Financial regulations in your jurisdiction
- Export control and sanctions regulations
- Anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements
Account Registration {#account-registration}
Creating an Account
To use Tabba, you must create an account by providing:
- Email Address: A valid, active email address
- Password: A strong password meeting our security requirements
- Profile Information: Name and optional profile details
- Business Information: Company details for business accounts
Account Types
We offer different account types:

Account Verification
We may require additional verification for:
- Business and Enterprise accounts
- High-value transactions or unusual activity
- Compliance with anti-fraud regulations
Failure to provide requested verification may result in account suspension.
Prohibited Activities {#prohibited-activities}
You may NOT use the Service to:
Illegal Activities
- Engage in money laundering or terrorist financing
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Process payments related to illegal goods or services
- Evade taxes or misrepresent financial information to authorities
Fraudulent Activities
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
- Provide false or misleading financial information
- Manipulate transaction data for fraudulent purposes
- Use stolen payment methods or credentials
Service Abuse
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers without permission
- Overload our servers or interfere with Service availability
- Circumvent security measures or access controls
Data Misuse
- Access other users' accounts or data without authorization
- Share your account credentials with third parties
- Export data for competitive purposes
- Use the Service to build a competing product
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
Intellectual Property Rights {#intellectual-property}
Our Intellectual Property
All content, features, functionality, and technology in the Service are owned by Tabba ApS and are protected by:
- Copyright laws
- Trademark laws
- Patent laws
- Trade secret laws
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Source code, algorithms, and software architecture
- User interface design and visual elements
- Documentation, guides, and help content
- Logos, trademarks, and brand assets
- AI models and training methodologies
License to Use the Service
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Access and use the Service for your personal or business financial management
- Download and use our mobile applications
- Access our APIs (subject to separate API Terms)
This license does NOT permit you to:
- Modify, copy, or create derivative works
- Sell, lease, or sublicense the Service
- Remove copyright notices or proprietary markings
Feedback and Suggestions
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service:
- We may use such feedback without obligation to you
- You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to implement your ideas
- You waive any intellectual property claims to such feedback
User-Generated Content {#user-content}
Your Data
You retain all rights to the financial data, transactions, and content you upload to the Service ("User Content").
License to Your Content
By uploading User Content, you grant Tabba a limited license to:
- Store, process, and display your content to provide the Service
- Create backups and ensure data redundancy
- Generate aggregated, anonymized analytics (without identifying you)
- Share data with third-party service providers (as described in our Privacy Policy)
This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.
Prohibited Content
You may not upload content that:
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Violates privacy laws or data protection regulations
- Contains illegal or fraudulent financial information
Data Accuracy
While we strive to maintain data integrity:
- You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of imported transactions
- We are not liable for errors in third-party data (e.g., bank imports)
- You should regularly review and reconcile your financial data
Payment Terms {#payment-terms}
Subscription Plans
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled:
- Monthly Plans: Billed monthly on the same day each month
- Annual Plans: Billed annually on the anniversary of your subscription
- Usage-Based Features: Billed based on actual usage (e.g., AI queries beyond plan limits)
Pricing
Current pricing is available at tabba.io/pricing.
We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice for existing subscribers. New prices apply:
- Immediately for new subscribers
- At the next renewal for existing subscribers (after notice period)
Payment Methods
We accept:
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Debit cards
- SEPA direct debit (EU customers)
- Invoice payments for Enterprise accounts
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
Refund Policy
Monthly Subscriptions:
- No refunds for partial months
- You may cancel at any time (access continues until end of billing period)
Annual Subscriptions:
- Refundable within 30 days of purchase (minus usage charges)
- No refunds after 30 days
- Pro-rated refunds may be available in exceptional circumstances (at our discretion)
Fair Usage Guarantee: If you are dissatisfied with the Service, contact us at support@tabba.io within 30 days for a refund consideration.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- We will retry the payment up to 3 times over 7 days
- If all retries fail, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan
- Your data will be retained for 90 days
- After 90 days, your account may be deleted
Taxes
Prices do NOT include applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, etc.). You are responsible for paying all taxes associated with your subscription.
EU Customers: VAT will be added based on your country and tax status (business vs. individual).
Termination and Suspension {#termination}
Your Right to Terminate
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Going to Settings > Account > Delete Account
- Emailing support@tabba.io with a deletion request
Upon termination:
- Your access will be immediately revoked
- Your data will be deleted within 72 hours (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Paid subscriptions will not be refunded (unless eligible under our refund policy)
Our Right to Terminate or Suspend
We may suspend or terminate your account:
Immediate Termination (with cause):
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Non-payment of fees
- Abuse of the Service
- Security threats
Termination for Convenience:
- We may discontinue the Service entirely with 90 days' notice
- You will receive a pro-rated refund for any prepaid subscription
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- All licenses granted to you immediately cease
- You must stop using the Service and delete any downloaded materials
- We will delete your data (except as required by law)
- Clauses that should survive termination (e.g., indemnification, liability) remain in effect
Data Export
Before deleting your account, you may export your data:
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Export Data
- Data will be provided in JSON or CSV format
- Export is available for 30 days before account deletion
Disclaimers and Warranties {#disclaimers}
Service Provided "As Is"
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We specifically disclaim:
- Fitness for a Particular Purpose: The Service may not meet your specific needs
- Accuracy: Financial data and AI insights may contain errors
- Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted access
- Security: While we implement strong security, no system is completely secure
Financial Advice Disclaimer
Tabba is NOT a financial advisor. The Service provides tools and insights, but:
- AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only
- You should consult a qualified financial advisor for professional advice
- We are not responsible for financial decisions you make based on our insights
- Past performance does not guarantee future results
Third-Party Services
We integrate with third-party services (banks, payment processors, etc.):
- We are not responsible for third-party service failures or data errors
- Third-party terms of service apply to those integrations
- We do not endorse or guarantee third-party services
No Tax or Legal Advice
Tabba does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. Consult a professional for:
- Tax preparation and filing
- Legal compliance
- Accounting standards
Limitation of Liability {#liability}
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TABBA AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
Exclusion of Damages
- Indirect Damages: Lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Consequential Damages: Damages resulting from Service use or inability to use
- Incidental Damages: Costs of procuring substitute services
- Punitive Damages: Damages intended to punish
Cap on Liability
Our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to:
- The amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, OR
- €100 (whichever is greater)
Exceptions
This limitation does NOT apply to:
- Gross negligence or willful misconduct
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Violations of your data protection rights (GDPR)
Indemnification {#indemnification}
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tabba, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your Use of the Service: Your access to or use of the Service
- Violation of Terms: Your breach of these Terms
- Infringement: Your violation of any third-party rights (intellectual property, privacy, etc.)
- User Content: Content you upload or submit
- Illegal Activity: Your violation of any laws or regulations
We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you.
Dispute Resolution {#dispute-resolution}
Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at legal@tabba.io to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will work in good faith to resolve disputes within 30 days.
Arbitration (For Non-EU Customers)
If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration:

- Governing Rules: Danish Arbitration Act
Exception for Small Claims: Either party may file a claim in small claims court.

- The courts of Denmark (business disputes)
Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes individually, NOT as part of a class action or collective proceeding.
Governing Law {#governing-law}
Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict of law principles.
EU Consumer Protection
If you are an EU consumer, you also benefit from mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
Language
These Terms are provided in English. In case of translation discrepancies, the English version prevails.
Changes to Terms {#changes}
Notification of Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect:
- Changes in legal or regulatory requirements
- New features or services
- Security or privacy improvements
- Business model changes
We will notify you of material changes by:
- Email to your registered email address (at least 30 days in advance)
- In-app notification when you next log in
- Posting a notice on our website
Acceptance of Changes
By continuing to use the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree with the changes:
- You may terminate your account before the changes take effect
- You will receive a pro-rated refund for any prepaid subscription
